I had completely forgotten about Cool Runnings, until today, when I remembered it. For those of you who haven't seen it, I copied the plot-synopsis that I found on imdb.com. It was probably written by a geeky preteen, and there are a few grammatical errors, but I think it describes the movie pretty well.
"Derice Bannock (Leon) has just returned to the United States with his parents after growing up in Africa. Derice is a teenager, who has been home schooled his whole life. His first day in class as the new kid will be his first encounter with the public school system. As the new kid, where will he fit in? Derice first makes friends with two geeks (John Candy and Winston Stona). Then he makes friends with the most popular and beautiful boys in the school, known as 'The Plastics" (Doug E. Doug, Malik Yoba, and Rawle D. Lewis). Derice wants to fit in now and he has friends from two different worlds. To keep them as friends he must do things he has never done before, such as being deceitful, scheming, and finally untrustworthy. He discovers who his real friends are in the end."
