Okay so yesterday I tried to write a "funny" post where assumed the tone of a pretentious music snob. Well that post wasn't funny. In retaliation I posted my favorite youtube videos. Now I will truly repent and actually share music I have been listening to with you guys. These are songs off of albums which I (illegally) own. If you like any of the songs just ask me and I can give you the full album. This is what I have been listening to recently (non-electro version).
Rainbow Arabia fucking rules. They are like M.I.A. mixed with Gang Gang Dance mixed with Animal Collective mixed with Busy P. Basically they are just another dance-y tribal-y fun-y group (they are a married couple OMG SO CUTE!!)
Anyway check out their EP called "The Basta". The artwork alone is enough to digitally own this release.

Okay. So who here likes the new Animal Collective album? (Stop raising your hand Devra...you and me are the same person "musically" and in terms of facial hair). Well if you love the new Animal Collective album...or if you liked Person Pitch then this sick group (new and fairly obscure band!!!) Here We Go Magic is making loop-y ambient-y pop-y happy music that makes me really...can I say happy twice? OMG I HAVE SUCH A WITTY E-TONE!!!

So who here likes music? This music is very music-y sound-y good-y. It's a band called The Middle East. I know...a heavy handed name for a band. Their music is pretty heavy handed too. Thankfully they aren't making like avant garde ambient or something so when they are heavy handed it really just means they are better cuz they play folk/post-rock and sing really dramatically in soft Australian accents. It is actually superb.
